Annalise Caron, Ph.D.

Dr. Annalise Caron is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified cognitive therapist, and Director of CBT Westport, LLC. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and earned her master’s and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. After completing her pre-doctoral internship at Columbia University Medical Center, she stayed on as faculty at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Prior to establishing her practice in Connecticut, Dr. Caron was Co-Director of CBT/DBT Associates in Manhattan and served as Director of Child and Family Treatment at the American Institute of Cognitive Therapy in New York City. She is a Certified Diplomat of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.

Dr. Caron is extensively trained in evidence-based psychotherapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Multi-systemic Therapy (MST). She works across the lifespan with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in Anxiety Disorders, Depression, OCD and related disorders (Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Trichotillomania), ADHD, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, and parenting consultation.

Recently, Dr. Caron collaborated with Calm Health to develop specialized audio programs for teens addressing ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. She also co-created Parenting Teens: Growing and Changing Together, a 12-session program designed to support parents of tweens and teens. In addition, Dr. Caron co-hosts The Parenting Pair podcast with Dr. Suzanne Allen–offering compassionate, practical, and research-informed guidance to parents navigating the challenges of raising children and adolescents

Dr. Caron has authored research articles and book chapters on CBT and related empirically supported therapies, as well as research studies of parenting and child and adolescent mental health.  She has been featured in major publications like The Washington Post, Business Insider, and Psychology Today.   She has presented workshops to clinicians and consumers on mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches. She has also taught and supervised graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, psychiatric residents and licensed mental health professionals. Early in her career, she earned the American Psychological Association’s Koppitz Fellowship for research on parenting and adolescent therapy outcomes, one of three awards given nationally.

Suzanne Allen, Psy.D.

Dr. Suzanne Allen is Co-Director of CBT Westport, LLC, and a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans and her master’s and doctorate in psychology from St. John’s University. Dr. Allen completed her doctoral internship at The School at Columbia University and additional pre-doctoral training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. Prior to co-founding CBT Westport, Dr. Allen worked in diverse clinical and academic roles, including as school psychologist at Waterside School in Stamford, CT, Acting Coordinator of Mental Health Services at the Butler Child Advocacy Center at Montefiore Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has consulted for multiple agencies on youth trauma treatment and implemented social-emotional learning programs in schools.

Dr. Allen specializes in cognitive behavioral treatments for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, depression, behavior disorders, ADHD, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and life transitions, including medical concerns. She also has significant expertise supporting parents of children and teens with emotional and behavioral challenges.

In addition to CBT, Dr. Allen is extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT). She has provided DBT supervision and consultation and played a key role in establishing DBT programs in New York-area schools. She has also completed advanced training through the International OCD Foundation on OCD and related disorders for children and adults and specialized training in treating ADHD across the lifespan.

Recently, Dr. Allen collaborated with Calm Health to develop targeted teen audio programs on ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression and co-created Parenting Teens: Growing and Changing Together, a 12-session program for parents of tweens and teens. Alongside Dr. Annalise Caron, she co-hosts The Parenting Pair podcast, providing compassionate, research-informed guidance to parents navigating the challenges of raising children and adolescents.

Dr. Allen has authored numerous articles and been featured in major publications such as ADDitude MagazinePsychology Today, Motherly and The Green Parent. She frequently speaks and presents workshops for parents, educators, and clinicians to promote better understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health.
