Therapy

Evidence-Based Therapy for All Ages

Specialized treatment for children, adolescents, and adults using CBT, ACT, DBT skills, and other proven approaches.

Adult Therapy

We provide individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based behavioral therapies, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for adults. In addition, we incorporate dialectical behavior therapy skills into our work with clients experiencing strong emotions, but do not offer comprehensive DBT in our practice.

Child & Adolescent Therapy

We provide individual cognitive behavioral therapy for children and adolescents. In addition, treatment may be informed by aspects of other evidence-based treatments such as DBT, ACT, and other mindfulness based therapies. We also provide consultation to parents as both a part of their child’s individual therapy or as a separate service. Research has shown that parental involvement in CBT therapy improves child outcomes. The degree and frequency of parental involvement will be discussed during the intake session and will vary based on the age of the child, and the type and degree of psychological difficulty.

Parenting Consultation

We regularly provide support and guidance to the parents of children and teens we see in individual therapy as well as a standalone service. Research shows that parent-focused support can significantly improve mental health outcomes, reduce problematic behaviors and improve parents’ confidence in their own parenting. Our consultations are also designed to help parents better understand their child or teen through a developmental and psychological lens. When parents feel more attuned and confident, communication and connection often improve too.
